Poor but Sexy - Ich bin ein Berliner

"Berlin is poor, but sexy", said Klaus Wowereit (openly gay Governing Mayor of Berlin). And he couldn't have said it better.
I have visited Berlin and Germany several times before, and now it was time to visit there once again. It was just a short trip with the boys, an old friend of mine and his colleagues.

Because I had already seen most of the big monuments and different parts of Berlin on my earlier trips, this time was a bit different for me.

This time the theme for me as an interior decoration student and (as a star child too :) was SPACE. And oh heaven, that we had, about 120 m² for five persons, in notorius Wedding. I don't know how my amazing friend arranged all this but it costed for me only 15 e per night.

I really don't remember ever before having this luxurious space on a trip. We had a spacious kitchen and dinner table for eight...
  ...a big bathroom...
...spacious bedrooms...

 ...a spacious living room...
...and a long hall. Everything was nice and clean.

We also had two spacious balconies.
We were wondering how we are going to arrange the sleeping system, because although there were beds for at least eleven people in the place, there seemed to be only two big bedrooms and one living room and I was the only female. Then we found one more, a bit smaller room behind another room, and it was all set: I had my own private queen's room and bed!
First it was warm, then it started raining and it rained two days in a row. I got wet running around the city, but after the days it was nice to stay at the apartment in the evenings and drink sweet chai latte and enjoy the space.

And finally the sun came back!

Having morning coffee on the balcony.
The street view from the balcony.
Food and living is very cheap in Germany. I think one thing there is to have these vagina-looking flatbreads in Turkish restaurants. Only 2,80 e and so big you almost can't finish it. Just a word of warning, you may find a black and curly hair from your plate like one of us did, but it only proves it is authentic ;)
Although living and eating is cheap, the clothes are quite expensive. But they are good quality clothes, so I can understand that they cost. I bought a new coat and couple of hoodies (one of them on me on the balcony pics above), but that's it. (I may show them later.) I realized in the tag of a hoodie was a text: "Take your space". TAKE. YOUR. SPACE.

I didn' take so much photos, because two days was raining and I was running in Prenzlauer Berg's and Kreutzberg's shops and didn't even bother to dig the camera out of my bag. Except when I saw this amazing dog in one shop <3
The boys went to see Brandenburg's gate, Holocaust monument etc. and to the boat cruise to Spree river. They are all great things, but I had already seen and done those things on my earlier trips so from the tourist attractions I only went to see Schloss Charlottenburg and Guggenheims's museum, because those I hadn't seen before.
Passing tourist attraction Checkpoint Charlie on the way to Kreutzberg.
"Are you from Pluto? Nice dreadlocks", somebody said of my hair on the street in Kreutzberg.
I am not into drinking, but it happened to be weekend and it was nice to have couple of Beck's Lemon in Berlin's nightlife. Berlin zeitgeist from Prentzlauer Berg.

Bye Bye Berlin and see You again. <3
