Viime postauksessa mainitsin viime syksyn Habitare-messut. Tässä on matto, jonka bongasin sieltä ja haluan näyttää teillekin.
Rakastan tätä mattoa. Lapsuudenkodissani oli kangaspuilla kudottu räsymatto, ja sen muoto muistuttaa minua tästä. Se oli selvästikin jonkun (tädeistäni?) ensiyritys kutoa kangaspuilla.;) Kaikki nauroivat matolle. Tämä matto muistuttaa minua siitä ja tekee minut iloiseksi. :) Pidän paljon tästä ideasta tehdä "epäonnistunut yritys" tarkoituksella ja laittaa se ylpeästi esille. Ja tietysti maton värit, kuviot ja materiaalit ovat kauniit. Selvästi näkee, että tämä on laadukas matto. Matto on italialaisen Patricia Urquiolan suunnittelema. I just love this rug. At my childhood home was a rag rug weaved with a loom and the shape reminds me of this. It was apparently somebody's (one of my aunt's?) first attempt to weave with a loom. ;) Everybody laughed at the rug. This rug reminds me of that and makes me happy :) I love the idea of doing this "unsuccessful trial" on purpose and showing it proudly. And of course the colours, patterns and the materials in this rug are beautiful. You can see it is clearly a quality rug. It is designed by Italian Patricia Urquiola.
